Topnotch Resort is Hiring a Sales Coordinator Near Stowe, VT

Topnotch Resort is looking to hire an energetic and organized Sales Coordinator to join the sales & marketing team! Job responsibilities will include working with the sales managers and clients to plan and execute meetings, conferences and social events. The ideal candidate is a people-person who finds passion in solving problems and creating engaging and memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in planning, organizing and coordinating functions and guest rooms for assigned accounts, in accordance with hotel policies and quality standards, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Create and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and update as needed until time of the event.
  • Support sales managers in responding to sales inquiries by providing details, available function dates and resort information.
  • Ensure all documents produced by the sales department (i.e. BEOs, rooming lists, resumes, weekly reports, etc.) are completed accurately and on time.
  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly meetings, as directed.
  • Assist with any special events on-site, as needed.
  • Conduct site tours as needed in the absence of a sales manager.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by DOSM or sales managers.

Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Capability to think outside-the-box to solve problems and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Excellent telephone skills and manners.
  • Must possess computer skills, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in sales & marketing modules (Delphi, SMS Host, etc.) preferred.
  • Participate as team player with other key hotel members.
  • Professionally represent the Resort in community and industry organizations and events.

Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred, plus minimum of two years combined in sales and/or catering experience.

Other Expectations:

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This may include nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available). NOTE: While the list of essential duties is intended to be as inclusive as possible, there may be other duties that are essential to the position
